I had the check engine light come on the same time I lost a cylinder. Took it to a local shop and they said I had codes p0306 & p0206, recommended new plugs, wires, cap&rotor, power flush injectors, which they did for $471.00, now it runs fine until it runs at normal temp for a bit, then turn it off to run into the grocery etc. And restart, the light is back, and so is the misfire. I believe the only code now is p0306, it seems to be heat related, but its not running hot, it runs just under half on the temp gauge a/c on or off. Any ideas?
Thanks Gary

First of all, take it back for a follow up for them to re check. They charged you a lot of money for the repair and they need to go further.

I always start with a compression test to verify the motor. Replacing the plugs, etc is basic maintenance as well as the injector service.

The injector may be at fault but needs to be confirmed. They also need to check for a vacuum leak at that area of the cylinder.
