Engine Performance problem
1998 Chevy Venture

My service engine soon light comes on only when it rains and is wet outside. It seems to run a little rough when it rains. It sort of sputters and spits a little bit. What could this possibly be?

You should get the trouble code read (my understanding is that the trouble code will remain readable even after the light turns off). You can go to a place like Autozone to get it read for free. Once you have the trouble code you'll know which part to focus on.

I have the exact same problem with my 2003 venture. Only happens when it is rainy or wet outside. Once there are a few dry/warm days the light will go off. I've also noticed it does not sputter as much if I keep the air conditioning on low. Has anyone figured this out?
