My truck died tonight but the battery still has it's charge in it and the car wouldn't turn over so I'm just wondering if it's my starter motor that has gone or something more serious
Do you

If you know for sure your battery is charged then try to jump start the car. If it starts then you've probably got a battery near the end of its life. Since the vehicle died wile running also check your charging system when you get it started. You should have 14 to 14.5 volt at idle with nothing on. Then turn on your lights on high the ac fanon high. Any electrical load you have and check voltage again. It shouldn't drop below 13 volts
