Morning the car does not Move in D drive

My car is a Hyundai coupe auto 1997 and has a problem with the gear. In the morning the car does not move when I put on D drive and have to wait till has warmed up like 5-10 mins. To make it drive I have to pun on hand break and D drive then a strong jerk happens and the car moves?

Sounds like the transmission is slipping -How's the transmission fluid level and condition if okay bring it in and have it further checked out-

Everything seems ok. The transmission fluid is fine and at level, how do I check condition of the fluid. Am at present in jersey uk don, t know can reach there. Any dealers in jersey that you know off?

Does the fluid smell burnt and discolored? If so have it checked or replace the fluid and filter and see what happens

You will now need to get the line pressures checked, this is something that should be done by a trans tech and it should be done cold and hot you better check the phone book for your local trans repairer, do not use a dealer as they will just sub let this and you will only pay more.
