This morning I went outside to start my truckand it will turn over but it will not run, sounds like thatits back firing through the intake! Can smell gas. Around a year a go replaced plugs plug wires rotor button and cap, new fuel filter, and intake gasket, and water pump two months ago, so what is the problem? Could ot have jump timing?

thanks Dane B

If good spark at all plugs. Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Check compression.

I used to have this problem quite frequently. Turns out that moisture was getting into the distributor cap. Just because.I changed the plugs, wires, rotor button and distributor cap. Sprayed some wd-40 on the cap, rubbed it in real good and haven't had a problem since. I highly recommend that you use AC DELCO parts. Hope this helps you.
