It depends on litre size of engine. The 3.8L engine has a bolt-head in center of tension pulley, use a wrench or socket to apply torque ccw.
with a 4.6L engine, there is a cutout in the tensioner arm, use 1/2 inch drive, apply torque cw to take tension off the belt.
