I am having problem with the transmission. Check engine light is on. When I took it to the shop, they gave me a code failure which is P0743. When I got home and park my truck, I try to move it in a different space but it won't start. The light on the overdrive button is on. What does it mean.

It's either a torque converter problem or a wiring issue/solenoid problem in trans have a trans guy check this out. If not starting check battery for condition including load test but it may be the trans problem not allowing it to start as well.

Transmission temp light is on, battery is strong, and the overdrive light is on. Meas it is off the overdrive. Would that cause the engine not to start?

Because the light is on as I said in last replay trans issue maybe causeing the neutral switch to not engage correctly not allowing truck to start so have a trans guy check this. Unless something else is wrong else is wrong. Like a starter relay or starter. Also check fuse 2 in power dist center underhood.
