PLEASE READ ENTIRE INFORMATION BEFORE RESPONDING!
Check engine light scan show p301 Cylinder 1 misfire, Previously it was a random misfire. In attempt to fix the problem I have changed out:
Ignition Control Module
Both coil packs
Spark Plugs
Spark plug boots
Fuel Pump
Fuel Pressure Regulator
Egr Valve
Both o2 sensors
Throttle position sensor
Cylinder Compression shows 150,148,148, 145 - Within tolerance
The following symptoms are present during driving:
Slight acceleration causes sputtering and lag, after a few seconds motor evens out and becomes smooth, Hard acceleration causes sputtering and sever engine lag - loss of response power and after driving for a few miles the check engine light begins to blink signaling that there is a catalyst damaging event taking place. Idle seems smooth no real indication of problem or misfire. This problem began after the vehicle ran out of gas, attempts to restart killed battery, had to jump start after adding fuel, then problems were present. Revving the engine after charging battery showed the problem and I have not been able to track down the issue. I dont have the money to take it to the shop to have the problem isolated.

Running out of fuel isn't good check fuel pressure with a gauge and check for a vacuum leak then if still present check for valve/lifter damage or maybe an injector bad. Shold be 41-47 psi if lower replace pump

And the other things I mentioned? These misfire codes are hell to get rid of an dnormally a pro has to scan it because any sensor int eh engine can cause this. What is the pressure of the fuel pump with in specs or it just shoots gas out the Schrader valve? Did you scan it with an autoparts scanner those aren't very good other than to read and erase codes.
