My keyless entry remote is broken, and my car will not start with the key. Why is this and is
there any way I can get the car to start with just the key. When I stick or in the ignitionand click over I get no response from the engine at all

If this is an after market system, there would be a reset button which you need to depress after turning the ignition on to reset.
If no reset buttons are available, you would need to disconnect the control unit.
