1996 Mercury Mystique

My 1996 mercury mystique has problems idling, it dies on me. And recently. While accelerating it has problems on hills and going above 30mph. Once it gets past 30 its fine but getting to 30 it refuses to accelerate and then backfires. What's wrong with my poor car?

Check and test the idle air control valve, EGR and PCV valves and test the throttle position sensor and clean the MAF sensor with an electronic cleaner CRC to include a fuel pressure check
