"Hi, I replaced my water pump today on my 96 dodge intrepid 3.5 ltr. I set the both cams aligned with a dot on each cam housing, and marked the dots and even the belt tooth beneath them, and also marked a "tooth" "GROOVE" on the crank shaft pulley aligned With its TDC mark. I didn't turn the engine to line up with the arrow on the bottom crank shaft to the TDC arrow, "I just marked a tooth. Will this matter if I align it back how I took it off? And do I need a gasket for the stamped cover "crank case"

Theoretically if you line up all the marks you made on the belt and engine block, you should be fine when assembling it all. If you are unsure, I would set timing to proper marks on the crankshaft and cams. Check out the links to the videos below.

Snag a new seal. Better to do it now then to have to take it all apart again to replace the gasket when you were already in there.
