Use a fuel pressure gage. Not only check for correct pressure, check that the pressure doesn't drop like a rock, with everything off. Use a noid light and check injector pulse. Maybe a leaking injector/s.
Your coolant temp sensor could cause the system to run rich. Check the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose, any gas in it. Smell of your crankcase oil on the dip-stick, If it smells like gas, I wouldn't drive it till you fixed the issue. Plus change oil and filter after fix.
