4-wheel drive leak

I was using my 4-wheel drive in the snow and when I existed my truck there was a yellow liqiud on the ground and I smelled something burning. Please let me know what this is and what damage if any. Thanks

If it is yellow, that could be coolant. However, clean engine oil and dirty trans fluid could actually look the same in the snow. Check all fluid levels and see if any are low.
