Hi my son has 1995 Toyota supra 155,000km.
Twice in the last 2 weeks he has had a loss of power steering while cornering at low speed. The second time the engine cut out altogether. Have taken to Toyota dealership and put on the computers etc, nothing found, no faults picked up. Any suggestions as to why this happened? Thsnks

I would be looking at the idle control system, as you slow down to corner and revs drop, if you are at a no throttle idle condition, the iac may not be working as it should and a very low idle condition will affect the steering as the pump needs to be driven at a given speed to achieve enough pressure to operate the steering, low pump pressure will equal heave steering, if idle is to low you will stall.
