Engine coolant sensor con ector 1995 Saturn

I must hold the gas petal to the floor to start my 1995 saturn. When it does start, it blows some smoke. I have changed the engine coolant sensor and iacv. Also, when I push in the clutch the rpms rise dramatically. When at idle, the rpms go from 1000 to 3000. Then it dies. Pcv valve hose is new too. Any ideas?

Which sensor did you change?The top one that has a single wire going to it?Or the bottom one that has two wire's going to it?Also did you inspect the connector going to it for being corroded?It sound's like you have a bad coolant temp sensor.
