My 1995 Plymouth Neon has been acting up lately. While accelerating, my car will suddenly start to jolt and it seems as though it stops getting gas. My rpm's jump around and I eventually have to pull over since I stop moving.

Is the check engine lit? Cycle key three times to the on position, on third time leave in on position, the check engine will flash short and long flashes. Long flashes are first digit of code, short are the second. If you have a digital odometer readout, it may display a OBDII code there.

I agree check for codes. How long since a tune-up? Use a gage and check fuel pressure.

These neons were famous for cracking the coil pack. Use some windex and spay the coil pack area, you may see some arcing or engine may stall. Spark plug wires were notorious on these engines also. Crank sensor also. The PCM is located smack dab behind the battery where lots of acid can get all over it. Wonderful chryler engineering.
