I have a 95 aurora - the battery and alternator have been tested and found to be good. My battery, however keep going dead. I believe I may have a short somewhere in the car. What is the proper way to search for a short, or is there something else I should be looking at.

You need to check for a draw by putting an ampmeter in line with the negative cable. It should no more than 300 milli amps of draw.

Measure this first

Is there a path to trace the right way?

The path is through the meter and the fuse box. Remove 1 fuse at a time till the draw goes away. Then you found the circuit.

My remote start is several years old - it was professionally installed - could this be a problem?
