If it is shaking from side to side when taking off hard and stoping hard then it sounds like drive axls.

No, it's not doing that. It's more like a stutter and when I'm at a light it feels more like a lunge

If the engines free reving when it does this, it sounds like the trans is disengaging. Check the fluid and make sure its full im not sure if it has a filter you can service but I do no you can have it flushed, might help. P.S we are talking about an automatic?
