Hey, I've just done my first engine and (Tiptronic) gearbox replacement for a broken lancer GSR I was given. I just got to the point where I can start the car up. It started fine first go and runs nicely, but the car still wont move once I put in drive 1 or 2, or reverse. I'm not sure if I have been ripped off by being sold a broken gearbox, or maybe putting the wrong fluid in the transfer case? (ATF)
Before the engine and gearbox change, the gearbox would select gears but unselect them while driving.
I used the same tool converter from this gearbox on the new one.
Could this be the problem?
or sold a dodgy gearbox?
Maybe the wiring on the gearbox?
What's the right fluid for the transfer case on a 1995 Mitsubishi lancer GSR tiptronic?

Please help!

correct fluid is auto tran sfluid diamond sp this is off a Mirage as we don' t list Lancer. also if you used the old torque converter it may have had junk in it an dit got put through trans that is why it is not working. It may be a clutch or accumulator problem.
