My car has a bad knock/vibration in the engine. Also the temperature levels off at 230 - 24o degrees. What could te problem(s) be?

The temp isn't that far off. I don't think the fans even kick until about 227 although it may have a 2 speed fan.
If you have a misfire, then you need to isolate which cylinder and run some tests on that cylinder.
