Bad idle problem. At cold start in the morning, start right up but go into slopy mode. Sputtering. I noticed a vaccum type noise(hissing) coming from Cat converter which was replaced about 3 months ago(resonator also needs replaced)(Leak). About the idle; After cold start I can drive down the street to the store an get back in to start and it takes a couple cranks for it to kick in. It will idle @ between 800 & 900, and give the impression that it wants to stall. When driving the throttle response is late to kick in when accelerating from a light or stop sign. Also when coming to a stop light or stop sign the impression of wanting to stall comes up. Sitting @ red light for about 10 seconds car starts light sputter an almost stalls but doesn't.I checked engine oil, dipstick reads higher than it should be! Yesterday while looking @ EGR I noticed the brownish color around it like it caught on fire and quickly went out? Also the connector wiring coming from the coil pack control module was sticking to the pipe coming from the EGR ino the engine!Could this have caused any malfunctions! It didnt look like serious damage, but there was some melting of the wire. I put electric tape and hoped for the best *NOTE* -Car will drive normal under load or 25mph +***

The burnt harness is probably your problem. Ahve that piece fixed by a competent mechanic. The hissing is probably an exaust leak when it's running. That shold be fixed. Don't worry abouut the brownish color unless the egr is actually leaking.
