We replaced the cylinder head on my son's Saturn 1.9 L. The old head had 2 temp sensor positions and the new one we got rebuilt only has the lower one. How can we make this work? Are the sensors the same can this be wired together which I have done but one sensor pegs the gauge and gives code 14 the other sensor does nothing and gives code 15 with a brand new sensor and new connector makes no difference. And the cooling fan seems to be working properly. Yes the car starts and runs fine. Hopefully this is enough info to maybe give us some help Thanks

It sounds like you got the wrong head. Once sensor is for the engine, and the other is ambient temp for the computer. They can't be wired together.

1995 was the last year they had two sensors on there heads in 1996 they went to one sensor for the computer and and the temp gauge,The head you got is for a 1996-1999 single cam engine. The top sensor with the single green wire is for the temp gauge I have seen people drill a hole in the water jacket and use a tap to thread the head to the temp sensor.
