I am trying to find out if a driveshaft from an 83 v8 firebird is compatible with a 94 v6 firebird. My current driveshaft is a 2 piece and the 83s is a single if the matters. According to a forum I checked out they say an 82-92 will fit a 93-02 but I want to be sure before driving the 50 miles to get the replacement.

If it's a two piece you have to stick with a two piece otherwise pinion angle will be off and you'll blow driveshaft's.

Really? When I search online for replacements a lot of sites come up with single piece replacements for the car such as this one.
