1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass idling very high

Replaced the thermostat now it is idling so high when you put it in gear it make a hard jerk to the point the hold motor shifts.

recheck your work and look for vacuum lines broken especially at top of throttle body as that one is plastic an breaks there. clean throttle plate and iac hole with choke cleaner on both sides.
