1994 Nissan Maxima car trouble.

I have a 1994 nissan maxima that I just purchased about a week ago. Today 12\25\13 was on my way to work and the car was running good. Then all of a sudden it started making this loud noise and it smelled like something was burning. I need help please.

First you need to find out what is causing the noise and what is burning.
