How to install the mounting strut

I have a Mazda MPV 1994 6.0 cyl I bought the mounting strut but the only mark it has is a curve cut in it. I want to know the orientation of that mark. I have a book from Mazda and it says:"Install the strut assembly in the strut lower, making sure the white mark on the upper mounting block is in the front-inside direction". My question is. The mount doesn't have any white mark. So I'm not sure the curve in strut mount goes to outside, inside the vehicle. Please help

Did you get the entire strut assembly or just the mount?
