My battery light came on so I got a alternator put it on the light went off but came back on do you have any suggestions on what it could be

Have you checked both the new alternator and the battery?

Yes I checked them both it work for awhile then stop

I would recommend returning the alt and having it replaced. Chances are you got a bad one. It that doesn't fix the problem, let me know and we'll go further into this. However, I feel that is the issue.
