I need to replace the cigarette lighter in my 1994 Ford ranger as it no longer works. It is part of the ashtray assembly. Is there a video or instructions I can get that will show me how to do this?

Disconnect battery ground cable.
Remove cigar lighter **** and element.
Remove instrument panel ash receptacle from instrument panel. Disconnect cigar lighter wire from base.
Unscrew cigar lighter socket and retainer.
For installation, follow removal procedures in reverse order.

NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the powertrain control module relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 10 miles or more to relearn the strategy.
