I have a 1994 ford explorer 4.0 liter with a v6 its a 4x4 ive been having this problem with it wanting to idle while im sitting at a stop light or stop sign and it wants to take off so I have to press the brakes hard so it wont take off but whats wrong with it autozone tester came back code 17 but what is code 17 is thats whats wrong with it or is it something else

There is no code17. All codes for that vehicle are 3 digit codes so assuming you may have a code 171, that would mean lean mixture and make a little sense. Check the engine over carefully for vacuum leaks. Listen for hissing noise and try to follow it to it's source. This engine is notorious for rubber connectors and hoses that suck a hole right through them.
