Transmission fluid dark also no reverse

I have a 1993 camry 6 cyl 3 litre I changed trany fluid and filter last November at 30k miles the car would not go in reverse yesterday I checked fluid it was watery black, I changed fluid and filter again at 33k miles car lacks pep in reverse there also was some metal shavings in pan what is the problem, thank you.
