I have a 1993 jeep grand cherokee, 5.2 v8 187,000 miles. Every gasket is new on the whole motor top to bottom, new fuel pump, fuel filter, tune up, timing chain, and much more, I just cant think of everything. My main issue is the idle, I just replaced the idle air control valve, the idle before was on 1 exactly, now its about 1,200 rpm, its suppose to be between 6 and 800, somewhere, in there, but I am really confused sick and tired of this problem.I did disconnect the battery before working on it. Throttle body is spotless and clean. All vacuum lines were replaced. Could the map sensor or throttle position sensor be bad, I dont know what to do to get it to be at the idle speed it should be at. Can you please point me in the right direction that I could fix this problem, any information is greatly appreciated.
