While driving car will go dead sometimes but runs without going dead sometimes when it goes dead sometimes it will crank right up again but every once in a while I have to wiggle a wiring harness that plugs into a black box under the hood the check engine light is not on

Read the code and reply with the code I would start guessing constant control relay module issue but we need the code to proceed

under the hood you should see a green single terminal connector end
using a jumper wire connect the wire to green connector and the other end of jumper to the battery NEGATIVE
turn the key on(do not start) and watch the check engine light
it will flash in a sequence wth momentary pause like this flash flash pause flash flash flash flash flash
first 2 flashes and then 5 flashes which would indicate code 25
