How to re align hood it won't close all the way

Hi. There was some kind of tool left under my hood on the right side (passenger side) so when they closed hood it warped my hood and now it won't close all the way and a lot of tension when you open it. How can I try to align it so it will close all the way. The mechanic was my son helping me. Can he align it some kind of way? Thanks

Try opening hood and grasp at front and twist toward where it is not closing all the way. See if that helps.

Thumb-of-rule, whichever part that has an impact to cause it to go out of adjustment/alignment, do the reverse.

If the hood is bent too much, you might get a dent. Hold the highest point of the distortion, pull against it while you push at the corner of the hood to straighten it.
