I pulled all my wheels checked my brakes and rear brake cylinders, they are fine, my pedal is sinking when I apply the brakes but if I pump it again I get more pedal then, does this mean its my master cylinder or could it be the booster, is there a sure way to test the master cylinder to see if its going bad or not. Thank you

Could be an indication of internal leak past seals. Most commonly, it is an indication that there is air in the system. Before replacing any parts, I would recommend trying a bleed of the system. Was there any procedure done prior to this, that may have opened the system up and allowed air to enter?

Nothing was done recently the brakes were fine the system was never opened im thinking it for sure the master cylinder its not leaking inside the car or at the booster so it must be internal bypassing and not pressurizing the system, im going to replace it tomorrow and feel confident thats it if not ill be back here then asking about the booster maybe, dont really know anything else it could be, but like I said its the master cylinder. Thank you very much for your time and consideration, im not working right now or I would be happy to donate something but trust me when I get back to work or my disability comes through ill keep you in mind. Thanks again.

U need to prime the new master cyl. Swap the top part if needed. Install, then fill it up. Use 3 dot fluid. Kk then you pump the brake and bleed the 2 fitting on the master cyl. Do it till the the pedal is right. It take about 4 times to bleed it. Youll see all fluid when you are done bleeding it.I hope this helps and gl in rl.
