Nissan Navara 1991 engine swap

My uncle has a nissan navara 1991 one tonner ute, he wants to know what engine can fit into his car other than the one he has? Right now he has a Z20 motor so he wants to take that out and rebuild it, but needs a motor in it to still drive the car around in the mean time, so what other motor other than the Z20 will fit into his ute?
