I have a 91 honda accord lx. I wanted to know if there is any way to keep it from breaking down as in droping a new motor and tranny in or is there any other ways to keep it going?

Well its tricky when I accelerate my engine wants to pop out of the car I dont know if its the transmission or something with the motor itself

Get the engine mounts checked. Bad mounts would result in excessive****** when transmission engages.

Check idling speed as well. If it is too high, shocks would be felt when shifting into gear.
