Why would my cooling fan relay keep ticking after the car is turned off. It kills my battery!

The cooling fan relay is located in fuse box under the hood

The temperature sensor may be bad and is reading a high temp to ECU. Even if you have a temp gauge, there are seperate sensors for the gauge and the coolant temp signal for the ECU which controls fan and fan timer. You probably need to replace the temp sensor near the thermostat housing for the ECU.
