1990 Chevrolet Lumina speedometer

Speedometer stars at 0 and when put into drive will climb all the way up and stay there cannot find a speedometer cable someone told me maybe a speed sencor but I do not know much about it where would it be located and how would I fix it need it done have been pulled over to much because of it

I looked at info the 3.1L lumina. The speed sensor should in the passenger side halfshaft housing. You will have to raise and safely support the vehicle. Removing the passenger side front tire may help you see it? The wire colors for the wire connector are yellow and purple.

If the location is wrong, blame the database not me. Thanks
