Front head lights

I have a 1989 nissan sentra my front head lights on the driver's side don't work on high beam. I check the fuse on that side its good. I check for power to the bolb socket, it has power. Why when I put it on high beam that side will not com on?

Have you checked the bulb?
High and low beam uses diferent circuits in the same bulb.

If you have power at the bulb, then the problem lies in the bulb, its installation and/or grounding circuit.
Try swapping with the right side and see if it works.
Check the connector condition and test if power is getting to the bulb. It could be a broken wire between the terminals and bulb.
