Hello, I have a 1989 jeep cherokee with a 4.0 that leaks oil out of the valve cover into the air box and at idle knocks some. What could this be? Thanks Caso

Sounds like a worn out engine. The oil is from compression blowby and the knocking could be anything but usually serious.

EVEN WITH THE BLOWBY, THE PCV SYSTEM MAY NOT BE WORKING CORRECTLY/ OR NOT EVEN HOOKED UP.

CHECK IT OUT, IF YOU NEED HELP, LET US KNOW!

The PCV isn't causing the engine to knock.
