My engine cranks long before igniting when cold and hesitates or stumbles during acceleration. I have changed the fuel filter. I have been told by a friend to look at the MAP sensor and throttle position sensor. I don't know what to do before spending money. I would like to do a fuel pressure test but I can't find an illustration showing me where to do it. I am having trouble troubleshooting this. It has stalled twice after a hot start up.

Fuel pressure you need an adapter to do it autoparts rent the gauge but may or may not have adapters. Yours shold be 9-11 psi. But check vacuum hose leading to map, and check base of tbi unit for a blown gasket that is a common problem. Squirt choke cleaner around it if it smooths out you found it. If check engine light is on scan for codes.
