And will run when pour gas in carburetor. Any suggestions?

I have a 1989 Chevy S-10 with a 2.5L engine and TBI carborator. I have troubleshot the fuel system from the fuel pump to the carb.

If I spray fuel into the carb it will start and run as long as I am spraying the fuel. What can I check next in regard to the throttle body carb? Do you have any suggestions?

Have ignition module tested. Check for voltage at injector plug.

Those are good suggestions, but I don't have a schematic of the carborator and don't know where the cam sensor switch and the ignition module had been changed just a few thousand miles ago.

You say that you have a problem from the fuel pump to the engine, it runs with you putting fuel in the carb try changing the fuel filter first.

Thanks for the input. We've already changed the fuel filter and checked the rest of it. Now think it may be the injector itself, as it just drips gas instead of spraying so am going to put in a new injector and throttle body repair kit and see what that does. Again, thanks for your reponses.
