For a while now my cars temp gauge was resting at the first notch so I figured id try and fix it. I bought a new ect sensor, ect sender, and 192 thermostat. After installing them the temp gauge needle sits above the normal notch all the time. I did notice that when I turn on the lights or wipers the needle rises. What could be causing this and how would I fix the issue?

Start by checking that all earth connections are clean and tight.

Those foxbody gauges are not very good over time. Thats why so many people change them to a three pod or get the a/c delete or small vent cluster. It would be much easier to replace in less your building a stock mustang.
