Why do all lights go crazy and shut on and off when I am shifting from second to third and they flicker when I am at idle

You apparently have a broken wire, shorting wire or loose plug somewhere in the wiring that is moving when the drivetrain torques. Start tugging on various parts of the wiring trying to duplicate the problem.
