AI drive BMW 320, 1988 Model. Transmission fluid is leaking / gushing when the engine is running. We have loosened the the gear, check for cracks, but none; replaced the torque converter seal; yet transmission fluid still leaks out. What do we do now? After bringing the gear out, we have cleaned it with petrol just to check for cracks. None was seen.
A man claimed he can repair the gear such that the leakage can stop.
What exactly do we have to do to stop the ATF gushing out?

In respect of Haywhy BMW 1988 Model with leaking gear oil.
The leakage was confirmed to come from the gear pump. The whole unit - gear pump and a cone before it have been replaced. The leakage has stopped considerably. But a new problem has developed. The selection is irregular and generally poor. Until a high rev, the gear may not shift. The reverse does not engage unless the engine is very hot.
