I have a 1985 ford exsplorer truck, 302 8 cyl runs great took it outa town 6 times on around 20 hr trips 1 way, alot of power still runs great no noise or smoke but this time I had lack of power going up hill could only get 45 mph with pedal to floor is that ekg valve bad or what could make me lose power still runs fine on flat ground

It sounds to me like a plugged catalytic converter. It could also be a bad EGR valve (Exhaust Gas Recirculation), but I'm thinking catalytic.
