I have a 1968 327 engine that runs perfect and I need help with the engine codes on the back of the engine block it has 3970010 and on the front it has v0505hn I know it is a flint engine may 5th but I don't know what hn is can u help me?

You'll have to redo the codes as it didnt' turn up. From what you have it was made in flint, michigan may 5th ican give you aeverything you need to know about that motor if you send the complete code.

I didnt see the partial vin beside the suffix code or the date on the back of the engine all I saw was the casting number 3970010 and the front number of V0505HN and it has the 10 point clock on top

The first number is the casting number for the engine the second is when it was made and what use, and the 10 point clock deals with what hour it was cast. The engine you are talking about came out of a 1968 full size chevrolet car with a 350 automatic transmission. Made the 5th of may in Flint Michigan.
