1896 Isuzu Trooper Engine Stumbling

My Trooper just started a problem where it will, while accelerating, start to putter and kind of***** along. I have a hunch that it could be a dirty carbuerator or fuel filter. The stumble will cease when I have reached a cruising speed or I am going downhill. It is a light hesitation and the rpms do not drop. Any ideas?

If the check engine light is on, have the computer scanned. If no light, check to make sure fuel pressure is withing spec. We have directions on our homepage under the DIY section. Next, check for vacuum leaks. Also, when was the last tune up?
