XJS been stored for a couple of years

Hi try to make this short vehicle not used for a while. Replaced fuel with fresh checked oil water etc. When I turn the ignition on both fuel pump relay and main relay make a clicking noise. The pump (its external on theses cars) just makes a single thud noise and thats it car turns over does not fire. If I grab the pump when ignition is turned on you can feel the thud. Is the my pump gone. Thanks

Sounds like it. You can remove it and do more testing? Ive seen a few of these style pumps go bad from sitting to long. They havea precision roller mechanism that cant tolerate rust/debris.
