I put a wiring harness in. The only time the wipers work is when the dome light is on. Why? What did I do wrong? I have tried to figure it out but I can't find where I went wrong. I followed the wiring harness instructions and re-checked everything. Is there a way to trace the problem without having to tear the dash apart again?

Just my opinion, check for voltage and ground at the wiper motor. Did you check the wiper fuse where applicable. Is there voltage at the fuse? How many wires for wiper only? If three, one is voltage, the other two are grounds for speed control.

The diagram is for 71 GM, hope it is the same as you have? The vintage wiring I have access to, can be tough to follow, it looks like spagehti, I guess I can't spell that word, spell check put a red line under it. lol
